What are cookies?

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website can ask your browser to store, so that the site, or a third party it uses, can recognise your browser on a later visit.

Cookies on this site

This website does not set marketing or advertising cookies. Two services may set cookies here. Google Analytics, which helps me understand how visitors use the site, sets cookies (named _ga and _ga followed by an ID) that tell visits and visitors apart. Cloudflare Turnstile, which keeps spam out of the contact form, runs invisibly with no checkbox or challenge, and any cookies it sets are governed by Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum: cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy. Managing cookies

You can control or clear cookies through your browser's settings, usually under "Privacy" or "Site settings". Blocking Cloudflare Turnstile's cookies may stop the contact form from verifying your message. For Google Analytics specifically, you can opt out across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies from google-analytics.com and googletagmanager.com directly.
