Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Adam Kolinski ("I", "me") collects, uses and protects personal information on adamkolinski.com.au, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, which are enforced by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). It covers what I collect when you visit this website or get in touch through it, and how you can access or correct your information or raise a concern.

What I collect and why

I only collect personal information that you give me, or that your browser shares automatically when you visit.

  • The contact form: your name, email address, phone number and message. I use them to reply to your enquiry and to keep a record of it. The form is delivered to me by email through Resend, an email delivery service.
  • Email, phone or LinkedIn: if you contact me directly, I keep what you send me for the same purpose.
  • Visit data: standard technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you view and roughly where you are, collected by Google Analytics (see below).

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga followed by an ID) that tell visits and visitors apart, and it sends the visit data above to Google. I use this to improve the site, not to identify you, and I do not use advertising cookies. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Fonts

The site loads its fonts (Poppins and Unbounded) from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address when it does.

Spam and bot protection

This form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which silently checks that a submission comes from a real visitor. Nothing is shown on screen, and Turnstile may collect limited technical information from your browser and device to make that decision. See the Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Your use of Turnstile is also subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Who I share information with

I do not sell your information or share it for marketing. It passes only to the services that run this site, and only as needed: Resend (which delivers the contact form), Google (analytics, fonts, and the email account that receives your enquiry), Cloudflare (spam protection) and the hosting provider that runs the site's server. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries for as long as I need them to reply, to carry out any work you ask me to do, and for my business records. If you would like me to delete yours sooner, just ask. Analytics data is kept by Google for the period set in my Analytics account.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, unless I am required to keep it for legal or administrative reasons. If the European GDPR applies to you, you also have the rights it gives you. Get in touch using the details below.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS with security headers set, and its contact form is protected against spam and misuse. Information you send me by email is held in my email account, which is protected by that provider's security. No method of sending information online is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Links from this site to other sites, such as LinkedIn, GitHub and Watsy, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies, so please read them.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
